Jack Omondi

Jack Omondi is a climate, sustainability and science-policy practitioner with a decade of experience managing multi-country programs and partnerships across Sub-Saharan Africa.

He previously served as Programme Manager at the Network of African Science Academies (NASAC), where he managed donor-funded programs across the network and coordinated continent-wide research on decarbonising road transport in Africa. Earlier, at Don Bosco Tech Africa, he coordinated an €8 million Green TVET initiative spanning 110 centres in 35 countries.

Jack is completing a Master's in Climate Change and Sustainability at Kenyatta University and holds a First Class Honours BSc in Environmental Science from Egerton University. He also completed the Urban Climate Leadership Certificate Program at the Yale School of the Environment.

He was appointed an Expert Reviewer for the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities and serves as Vice President–Africa of the World Green Infrastructure Network's Chapter on Emerging Professionals.

At SPI, Jack works on climate and sustainability, science policy, sustainable transport and green transitions.
